0 reviews

Gérard Bertrand is known worldwide as a pioneer and trailblazer in organic winemaking and offers a very wide range of organic, biodynamic, vegan friendly wines. The plantations of Gérard Bertrand wineries are located in the Langedoc region and are biodynamically certified or on the way. La Forge wine is made at the Domaine de Villemajou estate, the birthplace of the Gérard Bertrand wine brand, La Forge is full-bodied, dominantly berry and elegantly spicy. Abundantly cherry, you can feel both cherry stone and cherry jam. Cocoa, roasted almonds and cloves in the background. A touch of saltiness extends the acidity and hints at enormous development potential. Wild strawberry, licorice and cloves stand out in the aroma. Made from two grape varieties (Syrah, Carignan). Average vine age: Carignan 80 years, Syrah 20 years. The wine matures in an oak barrel for 12 months. Boutenac - classified premier cru appellation (INAO).
