The vineyards of Domaine de la Ville de Colmar extend
over various geographical locations in Colmar and
various villages on the outskirts of Colmar.
This wineland is relatively patchy, which provides us
with a variety of soils and exposures; thus providing this
complexity so unique to wine.
The grapes are hand-harvested earlier than the others
in order to preserve their youth and freshness through
aromas of citrus fruit and white flowers.
Soil : More than 80% of the vineyard is planted on hills with
southern or southeastern exposures where one finds a
patchwork of soils and subsoils that differ from one place
to another: granite, limestone, clay and sandstone.
