The weather in 2006 was for the most part warm and dry, although contrasted. July brought a heatwave, but August was abnormally cool and humid. The almost summery weather in September is what made the vintage, drying out a few patches of botrytis and enabling the grapes to attain above-average maturity. The harvest began on September 11 and lasted nearly three weeks.
