Belvedere

In the heart of central Poland, in the small lowland region of Mazovia, lies the village of Żyrardów, home to the distillery that produces the world’s first luxury vodka – Belvedere. Vodka has been consistently produced at the Belvedere distillery since 1910, with the first batch under the Belvedere name released in 1993. The vodka quickly gained recognition and became a symbol of a new and hopeful Poland—one that had recently emerged from the grip and political influence of the fallen communist Soviet Union.

Belvedere

The quality and luxurious character of Poland’s most iconic spirit are rooted in a six-hundred-year-old local distilling tradition, regional ingredients, and a meticulous, tightly controlled production process. Dankowskie rye, sourced from the distillery itself and seven nearby farms, gives Belvedere vodka its unique flavor. The water is drawn from artesian wells located on the distillery’s grounds, and the vodka contains no unnecessary additives. Belvedere is produced exclusively in Poland and adheres to exceptionally strict standards. Belvedere Vodka proudly carries Poland’s Protected Geographical Indication.

Belvedere is uncompromising in its pursuit of quality. First, the spirit is distilled four times to achieve maximum purity. This is followed by an extensive bottling process that involves more than thirty quality control checkpoints. Each bottle undergoes chemical analysis, in addition to taste, aroma, and visual inspections. Thanks to its exceptionally clean taste, experts consider Belvedere one of the finest vodkas for use in cocktails.

The name Belvedere is inspired by Poland’s presidential residence, Belweder Palace. In translation, it means "a place from which beauty can be seen." The brand is also renowned for its beautifully designed and intricate bottles, each adorned with the image of the palace — a visual reminder of the vodka’s name and its country of origin.

Belvedere is the only vodka producer to have been awarded the prestigious Positive Luxury Butterfly mark — a recognition of its commitment to small-scale local production and environmentally responsible practices.
